Social Events

We offer several social events, including the women’s Bunco group, the women’s lunch bunch, and a monthly “Joy of Reading” book club available to both men and women.

Harvest Bag in partnership with the San Luis Obispo County Food Bank

A Harvest Bag consists of 2 bags (approximately 30 pounds) of Food. These bags contain bread and veggies with a varying assortment of fruit, dairy products and packaged goods. There is no charge for the program, but there is an eligibility requirement and each family is limited to two bags of food per week.

Pick up time is 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at the corner of Foothill and Santa Rosa/Hwy 1 in the Fellowship Hall. This program is administered on a first-come-first-served basis and no food will be distributed before 9:30a.m.

Our annual Thanksgiving basket distribution to needy in the community.

This year a total of 29 boxes were packed and distributed to needy families ranging in size from two to seven.  This project is an annual mission of the LWML.  This year it increased 50%.  Thanks go to the cooperation of the church members for their contributions, Thrivent for Lutherans donation, and the ladies of the church who contributed lots of homemade cookies for each family.  The LWML worked closely with Harvest Bag for acquisition of the turkeys and also for the list of recipients for the
meals.
